Worklink provides a range of support services to assist individuals with managing mental health concerns as well as physical, social and emotional barriers affecting a person's wellbeing and quality of life.

Services range from psychological services, counselling services and professional support services all offered by highly qualified staff with the skills to support and assist people with a mental health condition or those who have multiple non-vocational barriers.                                                                           

Psychological Services

Worklink employs a psychologist with experience in the employment sector.

Working within a culturally secure and recovery based model of intervention, our psychologist offers respectful and confidential support to individuals experiencing mental health concerns as well as physical, social, emotional and economic barriers to well being. Psychology services include current, evidence-based counselling, treatment and interventions for the following:

  • Anxiety disorders (panic / anxiety attacks, post traumatic stress, social anxiety etc)
  • Mood disorders (depression, bipolar etc)
  • Schizophrenia / psychotic disorders
  • Trauma

Counselling Services

Worklink employs highly qualified and accredited counsellors.

This service provides confidential assistance and it is tailored to meet individual and cultural needs. The service assists people to improve wellbeing, alleviate stress and distress, resolve crisis and develop skills to improve quality of life.

Professional Support Services

Worklink's Professional Support Service provides advocacy, support, mentoring and lifestyle coaching to clients that require intensive assistance to overcome non vocational barriers to employment and other life altering circumstances.

The service is delivered by highly qualified staff who have the skills to work with the long term unemployed and people with a diagnosed or undiagnosed mental illness. They also have the expertise to assist those with a range of difficult personal circumstances and/or other barriers that may inhibiting relationships with family, friends and the community. This service is delivered with a collaborative, culturally appropriate approach that utilises the strengths of the client, the expertise of the Job Services Australia Consultant and Worklink's professional staff, so that a positive outcome can be achieved.

  • Co-morbidity is a dual diagnosis that may include mental health issues plus a drug or alcohol addiction.
  • Co-morbidity could also include a physical disability (diabetes) plus an addiction; it could also be a mental illness that could lead to a physical illness such as an eating disorder.
